Lovely gas Lamps outside of Town hall, which in its day was a church.
We had a lovely day spent in Occoquan Virginia. This is a quaint little waterside town that has an amazing assortment of shops on the main street, which is named Mill Street. No franchises here, just a lot of smiles from storefront owners!
I took pictures of the town and the store that was recommended to us was Tastefully Yours. If you go you have to try the food! Remarkable.
Enjoy the pictures =)
Store Fronts still adorned with holiday Cheer!
Tastfully Yours with Wine and Beer Tasting and an assortment of fine handcrafter foods from the region.
My Favorite Part the Wine Tasting room!!
The little Dining area had shelves of jams and other wonders, that they use in the preparation of their food.
Our Beer to go with LunchThe Dubliner Sandwich with a hearty Chilli, was Fantastic!
My husband and I lived just south of Occoquan when we were first married. I still remember strolling through the streets and getting an ice cream cone on a hot day. Then when our son was born, I pushed his stroller up and down the hills – quite a workout! Thanks for the photos and sparking the memories!
You are so welcome, I love the small towns in Virginia. Where do you live now? Occoquan is a wonderful small town that a lot of people don’t know about!
